In implementing the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on the Fundamentals of the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities regarding the provision of an early assistance service to a person with obvious signs of disability, before a level of disability or a level of participation has been established for them, and (or) to their family members, drawing on non-governmental organisations, the early assistance service began to be provided and piloted in 2024. This service aims to ensure that timely early assistance reaches persons who find themselves in a crisis situation due to a possible disability.
