The aim of social services is to help a person (family) and/or community avoid social problems and/or the emergence of social risk, to create conditions for a person (family) to develop and/or strengthen the ability to independently solve social problems, maintain social ties with society, and increase their social inclusion.

The following are entitled to receive social services:

1) citizens of the Republic of Lithuania;

2) foreigners, including stateless persons, holding a permit to reside permanently or temporarily in the Republic of Lithuania;

3) other persons in cases provided for in the international treaties of the Republic of Lithuania.

 

The Juodšiliai Eldership Community Social Services Centre provides the following social services:

I. Preventive social services

• Community work;
• Sociocultural services;
• Information provision.

II. General social services:

• Consulting;
• Mediation and representation;
• Transport organisation;
• Organisation of personal hygiene and care services.

• Development, maintenance and/or restoration of social skills;
• Accommodation in an independent living home;
• Psychosocial support;
